Newborn, Baby & Child photographer Mandeville & New Orleans » Jennifer Bonnet specializes in custom newborn, baby, children, family, and maternity photography in New Orleans, Mandeville, Covington and surrounding areas in St Tammany parish.

It is always an honor to be asked to be your family photographer, but when the client is also another photographer that honor is accompanied with a little extra stress.  As photographers we are always a bit extra critical of ourselves and our images.  But Julie and her family made it so easy!  They were perfectly styled and were as easy going as they come.  They bought their pup along and even he looked at the camera!!  We couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous evening either. I am a sucker for some golden hour evening light.

I love getting sibling shots during a session.  Look how beautiful these ladies are!

And you can’t forget to add in little brother.

And to finish out the session, is there anything cuter than a boy and his dog?

I only take a very limited number of family sessions each year.  Are you interested in booking a session?  Fill out my contact form here.

Her name is just as beautiful as her precious little face.  Miss Allyse was a highly anticipated arrival!  She is an ever so special rainbow baby and they hold a special place in my heart. A rainbow baby is as child born after a miscarriage or other infant loss.  The understanding is that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the storm.  When a rainbow appears, it does’t mean that the storm didn’t occur or that the family is not still dealing with it’s aftermath.  But instead, it means that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the darkness and the clouds.  She was just the most perfect little princess and did amazing during her session in the studio.  Here are just a few of my many favorites.

I always edit all of my images in color and black and white.  There is something so classic and timeless about black and white images and I adore them.

I think purple was definitely her color.

After having my own special rainbow baby, I don’t thing I will ever get tired of this set up.  Do you want to see more?  Head over to my facebook page to see sneak peeks of recent sessions or click here to see some more from my gallery.   Are you interested in booking a session for your anticipated arrival?  Contact me here so we can discuss how to customize a session for you!

I had been waiting to get my hands on this little dress for a while and when I finally found one for sale in the size I needed I was ecstatic!!!  I loved the colors and tones in the dress and I couldn’t wait to get my daughter in it to take some pictures.  We headed into town in Abita Springs and I found the cutest little stoop to sit her on.  She picked some flowers from nearby and it all came together perfectly.  This has to be one of my favorite sessions I have done with her.  I’m sure she will not be cooperative for pictures for me much longer.  Either that or I will have to start upping the bribes. Love my big girl.

This is by far one of my favorite faces of 2016 and it was the first image that came to mind when I saw that i heart faces released this theme.  We took my biggest girl to get her first real big girl haircut at a fancy salon in Mandeville. She had a grin on her face from ear to ear the whole time and was so excited. What made it even better is she had just recently lost her two front teeth, so you could still see that silly toothless little girl hiding behind that big girl haircut. She kept running her fingers through her hair and tossing it from side to side. She is getting so big.

The minute I saw the theme for this week’s challenge over at I Heart Faces, I knew I had to enter this favorite of my girl.  Her and her brother found a dead dragonfly and decided to “adopt” it.  They wanted to make it their pet and “keep it forever.”  They made plans to take turns letting it sleep in each other’s rooms and everything.  Thankfully the dead dragonfly pet didn’t last long.  Mommy made sure it had a miraculous recovery the next day :)
